„How early should we book our wedding photographer?“

As early as possible. Good photographers book up early – especially for Saturday dates in wedding season (April to October). A year in advance isn’t too early.

My recommendation: as soon as you know your date and venue, get in touch. A conversation costs nothing – a missed date does.

„How many wedding photos do we get?“

This is one of the most-asked questions – and at the same time the least important. I would never give you 800 mediocre images just to make the number look good.

The better question: how many images will you truly look at again and again? Those are the ones that count. With me, you only get images I stand behind. No filler.

„What happens if the weather is bad on our wedding day?“

Nothing. We carry on. Rain, cloudy skies, wind – that’s not a problem but often an opportunity. Some of my favourite images were taken in the rain.

One thing’s clear: I never reschedule because of bad weather. I adapt – and so do you.

„Can I influence the style of the wedding photos?“

Yes – but in a conversation, not with a Pinterest board. I want to understand what you feel, not what you’ve seen. That’s how images come about that truly suit you.

My style is dark, emotional, authentic. If you want something completely different, I may not be the right photographer for you. I’d rather say that beforehand than afterwards.

„How long does it take to get our wedding photos?“

With me: 7 working days. I know how impatient you are after the wedding day. I won’t make you wait 6 weeks.

Tip: with every vendor, make sure the delivery time is clearly stated in the contract. ‚As soon as possible‘ is not a commitment.

„Do we need experience in front of the camera?“

No. That’s literally my job: I create an atmosphere in which you can forget I’m there. The best wedding moments happen exactly then.

No one who comes to me needs to know how they ‚look in front of a camera‘. You just need to be you.

„What does a wedding photographer in Cologne cost?“

That varies widely – from €500 to over €5,000, depending on experience, style and scope. My advice: don’t decide on the cheapest price. You can’t repeat your wedding.

Ask: what’s included? How many hours? Are there travel costs? How many images? Is editing included? The answers show you whether the price is fair.

„Will you come to us if we marry outside Cologne?“

Yes. I photograph weddings throughout NRW, Germany – and worldwide. Portugal, Mallorca, Fuerteventura, Tenerife: I’ve been there. I travel with you.

„What should we look for when choosing our wedding photographer?“

Three things: portfolio, personality, price – in that order. Do I like the style? Do I feel comfortable in conversation? Does the budget fit?

You spend this day with your photographer. If you can’t relax around her, you’ll see it in the images. The conversation beforehand shows whether the chemistry is right.
