How does a portrait session work?

We start with a brief consultation to discuss your goals, preferred style, and how you plan to use the images. On the day of the shoot, I create a relaxed atmosphere and guide you through poses and expressions – no prior experience needed. Afterward, I professionally edit the best images.

What should I wear to the shoot?

That depends on the purpose of your shoot. For business portraits, I recommend clean, well-fitting clothing in muted colors. For creative portraits, feel free to be bolder. As a general rule: bring 2–3 outfits for variety. I'm happy to advise you on colors and styles during our consultation.

How many finished images will I receive?

The number depends on the scope and duration of your session. Typically, you'll receive between 10 and 40 professionally edited images. We'll discuss the exact number beforehand so you know exactly what to expect.

Do I need modeling experience?

Not at all. Most of my clients stand in front of a professional camera for the first time. I guide you through the entire session – from body posture to facial expressions. It's completely normal to feel nervous at first, and that's exactly what I'm here for.

What's the difference between a portrait and a comp card shoot?

A portrait session focuses on your personality – for social media, job applications, or personal use. A comp card (sedcard) shoot is designed specifically for models and artists: it includes various looks, full-body shots, and close-ups that you need for agencies and castings.

Do you also offer outdoor sessions?

Absolutely. In addition to my studio on Dasselstrasse in Cologne, I also shoot at outdoor locations in and around Cologne – parks, urban backdrops, or by the Rhine. For destination shoots, I travel worldwide. Whether studio or nature: we'll find the perfect setting for your images.

How long until I receive my photos?

Typically, you'll receive your fully edited images within 7–14 business days in a private online gallery. For urgent projects, I can also offer an express service – just let me know.
