The civil ceremony is the official moment when two people become a married couple – often small, short and honest. That is exactly why it deserves to be captured. Here you’ll learn how registry office photography in Cologne and NRW works with me, how long I stay with you and what it costs.

Getting Married at the Registry Office in Cologne & NRW: How It Works – and Why Photos of Your “I Do” Matter
A short moment that lasts. This is how I accompany your civil ceremony – quietly, honestly, right up close.

The civil ceremony – your official moment
The registry office is often the most honest part of a wedding: no big production, but real emotion – the look before the “I do”, the trembling hands during the ring exchange, the first embrace as a married couple. I capture exactly these moments without interrupting them. I don’t photograph poses, I photograph the moment.
How does registry office photography work?
A short pre-chat
We clarify the location, time and flow of the ceremony – so I’m in the right place at the right time.
The ceremony
I capture the “I do”, the ring exchange and the congratulations – unobtrusively, right in the middle rather than stiffly on the sidelines.
Couple portraits afterwards
Afterwards we take a little time for a few portraits of just the two of you.

How long do I accompany your civil ceremony?
That depends on your registry office. For compact coverage I plan up to one hour; for a little more time – including arrival, congratulations and portraits – up to two or three hours. If it runs longer than planned, an extension is always possible.
Registry office in Cologne – or across NRW?
Both. All prices are guide values, and your binding quote is created after our conversation. As a rough orientation: from Monday to Thursday I accompany you for up to 1 hour for €450, up to 2 hours for €700 and up to 3 hours for €950. From Friday to Sunday coverage is bookable from 3 hours (€950) – in Cologne, across NRW and, on request, the EU.
You’ll find all current guide prices on the prices page. Read more about wedding coverage from the registry office to an elopement on my Wedding Photography NRW page.
Combining the registry office with a couple shoot
Many couples add a relaxed couple shoot to their civil ceremony – in a place that means something to you. That way you get not only the official moment, but also quiet images of just the two of you. You’ll find first impressions of real ceremonies in my portfolio.
